A loan of $500 helped to buy bathing suits, Bermuda shorts, flotation devices, and fashion clothing.

Maria Concepcion's story

María sells new clothing, glasses and seasonal items. She lives with her husband and their three children, who are 8, 10 and 15 years of age. All of the children are in school.

She learned this business 5 years ago with her mother-in-law. Currently she runs the business with her husband. They have a pickup truck to transport their merchandise. She commonly works from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, depending on the season.

She is seeking a loan in order to stock her business. She will buy apparel for swimming, such as bathing suits, Bermuda shorts, other types of shorts, flotation devices, and fashion clothing. This will help her to increase her sales for the summer season so that she can make better income. Her dream is to have a strong, self-sustaining business.
