German's story

40-year old German lives in the town of Chiclayo in Guadalupe district with his wife and their two much loved children who are their main reason for living. German is a very friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who, together with his wife, works very hard to get ahead for the sake of his family. Sadly because of lack of money and the need to get a job, he was not able to complete his primary education but he would very much like to do so one day. He likes to work even in his free time, but on occasion he will cook a delicious arroz con pollo (chicken with rice) dish to share with his family.

On his own initiative and with much effort and dedication, German now runs a small business making and selling bricks. In addition, he works as a taxi driver at weekends. He works every day for approximately ten hours and believes all is going well because of his experience and because of the friendly service he provides.
German is very grateful to Kiva donors as it is thanks to their help that he will be able to buy items such as planks of wood, pickaxes etc. for his work. He plans to continue working hard to fulfill his dream of obtaining a small truck in which to transport the bricks.
