A loan of $100 helped to buy oil and tomatoes.

Sara Angeline's story

Sara Angeline is a 48-year old woman who is separated from her husband and is mother to five children, ranging from five to 28 years old; only one of the children goes to school. She has been selling bread, biscuits, detergents and palm oil in one of the town's markets for the past 21 years. Her long experience in this field has enabled her to build up a considerable customer portfolio despite the progressive arrival of competition. With this loan she would like to buy 20 containers of palm oil and a crate of tomatoes so that she can boost her stock of goods in order to be able to cope with the competition. With the income she generates from this business she manages to cover her domestic expenses.
