Gladys's story

Gladys is 43 years old and a mother from Vihiga county in the western part of Kenya. She is married to Ebrahim and they have been blessed with four children whose ages are 23, 20, 16 and 13 years old, respectively.

Gladys operates a retail shop. She has been doing this business for 11 years and makes a monthly income of 5,800 KES. She is taking her second loan after having completed the previous one in time. She will use this loan to increase the volume of the stock by purchasing sugar, maize flour, cooking fat and cooking oil for sale to the community. She will use the anticipated profits to grow her business.

Gladys has a dream of becoming a successful business lady and educating her children into a higher level of education.
