A loan of $750 helped to buy additional stock of vegetables to sell.

Marlene's story

As a married parent of seven children, Marlene works hard to support her family. She has a buy-and-sell vegetable business in the Philippines and she also earns additional income from rice farming and raising livestock. Marlene is borrowing PHP 30,000 through Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. (NWTF) to purchase additional vegetables to sell for her buy-and-sell vegetable business. Marlene successfully paid back her previous loan and is now requesting a new loan to further build her buy-and-sell vegetable, rice farming, and livestock-raising businesses. Marlene has been sustaining her business activities through her past 17 loans from NWTF. She hopes that her hard work will help her attain her dream to save money to expand her business.
