A loan of $400 helped to buy fish for resale.

Erika's story

Erika is 32 years old and is a divorced mother of three children aged 5, 8 and 17. She shares her days with them in her own house, which is the fruit of her effort and dedication. Her work consists of selling fresh fish. She works daily at her stall in a very busy market in the city. She has had this business for over 10 years, and the income has been very beneficial. Many times she has been able to triple her initial investment. She very much likes what she does, since she loves being in contact with her customers. She has gotten to know many people at the market with whom she has built solid friendships or working relationships. Erika is a woman who contributes to the conservation of species of fish. For this reason, she does not like to see other vendors selling species of fish that are not allowed to be sold. She intends to continue working in the same manner and to keep improving her financial conditions. She is currently seeking a loan of 1,000 nuevos soles. She wishes to thank those who are making this loan possible so that she can continue toward her goals. She promises to make her monthly repayments in a punctual manner. She will use the funds to buy a large quantity of the species of fish that are in high demand, and she hopes to make a good profit again.
