A loan of $1,150 helped to buy iron sheets, sugar, soap, and salt to sell.

Selly's story

Selly is a 38-year-old, married man, with seven children, living in Kasese, Uganda. After realizing that farming alone could not help him in meeting the daily needs of his family, due to the seasonal nature, he decided to set up a retail shop. Like most traders, he is faced with challenges of price fluctuation and high license fees, while his desire is to educate his children and own a wholesale shop. Selly intends to use the loan to buy iron sheets, sugar, soap, and salt to sell.
