A loan of $200 helped to buy fowl, piglets and rabbits.

Muma's story

He is married with seven children and they live in a five bedroom apartment in Bamenda Mezam Division of the North West Region of Cameroon. He has faced many challenges in life among which are the death of both parents when he was still a kid, poverty in his family, inadequate finances to educate his children, and sickness that led to him being operated on.

With the new loan requested, he will buy rabbits, chicks and piglets to operate a poultry farm in his quarter. He is very positive this business will succeed because he has been assisting his brother in it for a long time and as such has the experience and techniques required to manage and maintain such a business. With this business activity, the community will have a regular supply of pigs, rabbits and chicks at reduced prices and the droppings will also serve as manure to farmers around that locality.

With the profit from the loan, he will pay for his children's education and also provide them with other basic necessities. He says he prefers GHAPE loans because of low interest rates, gradual installment payments and benefit of insurance enjoyed by members.
