A loan of $450 helped a member buy everyday groceries and also corn to make tortillas.

Dúo Perseverancia Group's story

Dúo Perseverancia (Duo of Persistence). Elida is a single mother. Her daughter is 9 months old. She started her business a year and a half ago selling tortillas in her home, which is located in Barcenas. Currently, she rents a store in which she does two types of business: selling tortillas and selling everyday groceries. However, due to a lack of capital she hasn't been able to stock her business very well and she doesn't have a lot of corn to make tortillas, which is the product that gets her the most profit. For the time being she can only ask God to give her strength to be able to give her daughter all that she needs, for it's hard playing the roles of mother and father at the same time. She is thankful to her family for the support that they give her. At the moment, her greatest dream is that her business gets bigger and more productive. She is asking for this loan to buy corn to make tortillas and also to buy everyday groceries.
