Dúo Perseverancia Group
In this Group: Elida, Carlos Enrique
Dúo Perseverancia (Duo of Persistence).

Elida is a single mother. Her daughter is 9 months old. She started her business a year and a half ago selling tortillas in her home, which is located in Barcenas. Currently, she rents a store in which she does two types of business: selling tortillas and selling everyday groceries. However, due to a lack of capital she hasn't been able to stock her business very well and she doesn't have a lot of corn to make tortillas, which is the product that gets her the most profit. For the time being she can only ask God to give her strength to be able to give her daughter all that she needs, for it's hard playing the roles of mother and father at the same time.

She is thankful to her family for the support that they give her. At the moment, her greatest dream is that her business gets bigger and more productive. She is asking for this loan to buy corn to make tortillas and also to buy everyday groceries.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
