A loan of $200 helped to buy seedlings and pay labor.

Lenard's story

Lenard is a 35-year-old man living in Fort Portal, Uganda. He is a farmer who grows a variety of foods which he sells to the local market. Like most farmers he is challenged by unpredictable weather changes and price fluctuation, both of which affect his projected yields. He has a business plan to venture into modern farming, and dreams of building rental houses and educating his children up to the university level. Lenard intends to use the loan to buy seedlings and pay labor.
