Karine's story

Karine was born in the city of Kapan and lives together with her husband and daughter in the Getishen village of the Syunik district. Her son is working in the Russian Federation and often helps his family in Armenia. Karine is 47 years old. She has been involved in agriculture for almost 20 years. She and her husband have land in the Getishen village, bees, cattle and rabbits. Karine sells the agricultural products, which her family works hard to produce, in the cities of Kapan and Kadjaran. She has acquaintances, friends and family, who help her with selling agricultural products because they have stores in Kapan and Kadjaran. Karine has been diligently involved in beekeeping the last few years. She read a lot of literature about bees and researched how to correctly care for them in order to obtain quality and ecologically-clean honey. As Karine confessed, one has to first love bees and have a lot of patience to get a good result. Karine needs a loan in the amount of 700,000 Armenian dram to purchase bees and hives to develop her beekeeping business.
