A loan of $1,150 helped to buy retail shop items such as soft drinks and other daily household products.

Robert's story

Robert, a 37-year-old married father of three children, also takes care of four orphans who are children of his late brother, who died in a car accident two years ago. He provides all of their basic needs and is paying their tuition from the little income he earns from their family business.

Robert started a retail shop business in 2005 as a way to support his family and to improve their social status. This has helped him to support his children and those of his late brother in school, hence brightening their future. His major challenge is lack of sufficient capital to boost his business and at the same time look after his family.

He has managed the shop for such a long time because of his good customer service and his positive work attitude. He dreams of growing his enterprise by opening up other outlets to increase his income and also see that his children and dependents get quality educations. He is requesting this loan to buy more retail shop items such as soft drinks and household products.

His neighbors applaud him as a very hardworking, determined, dedicated and ambitious businessman. In the photo is Robert with his wife and child.
