Flor's Group's story

Greetings from Peru!

A group made up of nine entrepreneurial women with much creativity for business. These women form the communal bank group called "La Cruz de Yerbateros" (The Cross of Herbalists). One of these members is Flor, a 43-three-year old woman. Flor is married and has one son. She makes a living selling tamales (a typical food in this region). This business helps her to pay her son's education expenses.

Flor's biggest dream is to finish the construction on her home. In the future she would like to have her own stall from which to sell her tamales and increase her profits.

Flor is requesting this loan in order to buy pots and plates for her business. Demand for her tamales has been increasing and she needs better utensils for her tamale business.

Flor and the other members of this group are very grateful to Kiva and Edaprospo for this loan and the confidence shown in this group. The pledge to complete all of their proposed goals.

In this group: Flor , Isabel, Candelaria, Estefani, Rosario, Mariana*, A Lishmar, Bertha, Marlene
