A loan of $3,550 helped a member to increase her stock of goods (tomatoes, bananas, groundnuts, potatoes, fruits etc...).

Imara Group's story

The borrower, Kanyere, is the leader of the Imara group. She is a 44-year-old dynamic entrepreneur and the mother of 12 children, eight of whom attend school. Her husband is a government employee.

Kanyere sells food products (tomatoes, potatoes, bananas etc.) She displays her goods in a small food stall. She started in this business with a loan taken with the microfinance institution Hekima and has already completed 22 loan cycles with them. With her new loan, she will increase her stock of goods and buy some tomatoes, bananas, groundnut, potatoes, fruits etc. In doing so, she wishes to expand her business and educate her children.

Kanyere thanks Hekima for its support. She is also requesting that they review their repayment schedule (weekly repayment instead of monthly repayment).
