A loan of $2,000 helped a member to buy TVs, home theatre, and clothes for resale.

Emerald Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 42-year-old Emelder from Mutare. She is married and has four children, two attending school. Emelder runs a retail business where she sells televisions, radios, and clothes. The business has been in operation for four years. She says the main challenges faced are high transport costs and late payments from clients who buy on credit. Emelder has requested a loan of $400 USD to purchase clothes and radios for resale. With the extra income generated as a result of this loan, Elelda wishes to send her children to better schools. In the future, Emelder plans to buy her own shop.
