Margarita Josefina's story

Margarita is a 27-year-old woman. She lives in the city of Ica, in the Santiago district, with her parents and her little 4-year-old son, whom she loves and who is her main focus in life. She is a very likable, hard-working and enthusiastic person, who dedicates all of her efforts toward helping her little one get ahead in life, since she is both mother and father to him. Thanks to her effort and her parents' support, Margarita was able to study for a technical degree in Computing. In her free time, she likes to go on the internet, and on some occasions she cooks a delicious Arroz con Pato [duck with rice] to share with her family.

On her own initiative, with much effort and dedication, Margarita works in her small business selling clothing and school supplies. She works every day for approximately 10 hours, and she believes that it is going well for her thanks to her good prices and the friendly service she provides to her customers.

Margarita is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to the help provided to her, she will be able to buy merchandise such as clothing for men, women and children, and office supplies. In this way, Margarita will have her business better stocked, and she will be able to serve more customers. Thus, she will keep working and exerting herself to achieve her great dream of seeing her son become a successful professional and herself a successful woman.
