Juan Bautista

Nicaragua
El Sauce, Nicaragua / General Store

A loan of $1,050 helped to buy clothing, cooking oil, soap, beans, vegetables, sugar, and plastic containers.

Juan Bautista's story

Juan Bautista is a native of the town of Achuapa. He is a 57 year-old married man who has spent most of his life working in livestock production. But 10 years ago he moved to El Sauce, and started up a grocery store which has been growing over the years in terms of products and customers, thanks to the kindness of the owner.

This business offers a variety of household products to attract the local residents. Juan Bautista works in the business along with his wife.

Because the Easter season is approaching, Juan wants to invest in products such as clothing, cooking oil, soap, beans, vegetables, sugar, and plastic containers. These are items that his customers usually want, and so he is requesting a loan to invest in these types of products.

He hopes that Kiva and Ceprodel will approve this request. He thanks them in advance for the unconditional support that they are providing to small businesses throughout Nicaragua, and most of all to people of limited resources.
