A loan of $1,175 helped to buy fertilizer.

Truman's story

Truman, 40, lives in the city of Pucallpa in the Aguaytia district with his wife and three children who he loves and are his main reason for living. He is a very nice, hard working and enthusiastic person. He and his wife spend all their energy on getting their family ahead.

Unfortunately due to poor economic resources, and because he had to start working at a very young age, Turman was not able to study agronomy. But he would have like to have done it very much.

In his free time he likes to play with his kids and sometimes he makes a delicious ceviche [seafood dish] to share with his family.

By his own initiative and with much effort and dedication, Truman works on his small parcel of land where he cultivates bananas and cacao. He works every day for approximately eight hours and he believes it is going well due to his experience and expertise.

Truman is thankful to the Kiva lenders since thanks to the help given he can buy fertilizer for his crops.

This way Truman can maintain his crops and have a good harvest. He will keep working and strive to achieve his dream of giving his children a good education and seeing them succeed as professionals.
