Karla Azucena's story

Karla Azucena, 36 years old, is married with 3 children of 13, 9, and 2 years old. She is originally from Managua, a place that is located in the central area of the region. Karla is known for being a responsible working woman, wanting to succeed. Unfortunately, because of the lack of financial resources she could not pursue university studies, but she would have liked very much to study for the profession of nurse. Because of her entrepreneurial spirit and her desire to get ahead she works selling various products such as wall clocks, plastic cars, rattles, porcelain glasses, wrapping paper, gift bags, night lamps, photo albums, calculators and pictures for the wall. She has been doing this activity for eight years in one of the local markets. She will use the loan to invest in working capital to buy various products, so that in the not too far off future she can obtain better earnings. Karla Azucena is grateful for the support the Kiva lenders have provided to people of scare resources and poor countries such as Nicaragua in order to have dignified work.
