Celsa Maria's story

Doña Celsa, age 46, is single because she is a widow. She has two children who live with her in a neighborhood in the city of San Pedro Sula.

Ten years ago, Doña Celsa established her grocery business where she sells products such as basic grains, snack foods, and other items. She started this business with the intent of doing very well since these products are basic necessities in the home. Celsa says that the profits that she has earned have enabled her to expand her business. She is very grateful to ODEF for the loans that have been provided since they have been a great help in keeping her business stables. As a result, she has been able to offer her customers with the products they need.

Celsa is currently requesting her eighth loan in the amount of 20,000 HNL. The money will be invested in the purchase of basic grains, flour, cornmeal, beans, sugar, rice, groceries, dairy products, and other items. Her goal is to continue working with the loans provided by ODEF in order to have improved financial solvency so that she can help her children.
