A loan of $200 helped to buy pea seeds.

Gisela's story

27-year-old Gisela is married and has a five-year-old son. She lives in her parents' home and works as a farmer. She tends to her pea seeds, bean seeds, corn seeds and others. "Farm work is tiring but when I sell my produce I see that all the work has been worthwhile", she says. During her five years working as a farmer, Gisela has learned all about the unforeseen events that the weather can bring with it. For this reason, she leaves her home very early every morning to guide water towards her crops through water channels that she makes herself with her farm tools. Right now, she is planning to sow pea and beans seeds because the peak season is approaching and prices will be good. She plans to rent a plot of land so that she can grow in larger quantities.

This is Gisela's second loan from MFP and she pledges to make her repayments on time. On this occasion, she is requesting 500 soles to buy pea seeds as she doesn't have enough money to buy them on her own.
