A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a dairy cow.

Casimiro's story

Casimiro is 51 years old. He is married with two children who are 17 and 16. He makes and sells cheese and milk for a living as he raises cattle. He lives in the locality of Huayrocondo. The people there work in farming and ranching. This loan is his first cycle with this institution. Casimiro will use the loan to buy a dairy cow and he wants to take advantage of this opportunity. He is asking for this loan because he does not have the money for the purchase and it will help him enormously, as it will provide a good amount of milk. This will allow him to make more cheeses and milk and to improve his income. Casimiro faces challenges in his business such as having to buy fodder every so often, and he will use his profits to improve his livestock. His wish is to make cheeses in bulk and sell them to different markets in the city of La Paz.
