A loan of $150 helped a member to buy materials to build a proper latrine.

Pov's Group's story

Pov, 43 years old, lives in a rural area in the Sa Ang district, Kandal province. She is married and has five children, three of whom are dependent and still in school. Pov and her children have been engaged in farming rice and catching fish for 23 years. Her family’s daily income is about KHR 8,000 per day, but they can manage to save about KHR 2,000 each day, after deducting daily expenses. Pov has just joined with VisionFund Cambodia this cycle. Now, she is leading a group of three to request a loan. As the leader, Pov will use her portion to buy materials, such as a latrine bowl, tile and sewage drains to build a proper latrine. She hopes this loan will enable her family to have an improved life.
