A loan of $150 helped a member to buy materials to construct a decent latrine.

Channa's Group's story

Channa is from a rural village in the Sa Ang district of Kandal province, Cambodia. She is 45 years old and she is a widow.

Channa has been involved in fish catching. Engaging in this business for 25 years, she is able to earn about KHR 10,000 per day and manages to save about KHR 3,000 each day, after daily expenses. This is Channa's first microloan with VisionFund Cambodia. As the group loan leader, she is going to use her portion to buy materials to construct a decent latrine. She'll need cement, bricks, a latrine pan, etc. Channa hopes that this loan will enable her family to have a clean latrine for daily use, so as to improve a healthy standard of living.
