Muzamiru is 40 years old and lives in the town of Pallisa in the Iganga region of Uganda. He is married and has five children, with three of them currently in school. For the past six years, Muzamiru has been working hard to manage his salon, which cuts men's hair.

To help expand his business, Muzamiru has requested a loan of 3000000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more machines for the hair, and will help Muzamiru to generate greater profits, boost the business and increase their income. Muzamiru hopes that in the future he will be able to improve on the family well-being.

Muzamiru is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Muzamiru who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
