Guillermo Jose's story

Guillermo José, 56, is married and has a 19-year-old son who is in college. Guillermo was born in León in western Nicaragua. He is responsible, hardworking, and wants to succeed. He did not have the money to pay for college, but he would have liked to study automobile engineering. He strives each day to fulfill his dream of seeing his son have a profession and brighter future.

With spirit and the desire to get ahead, he has been selling tires for used cars as a street vendor and by filling customer orders for 10 years. Guillermo works 12 hours a day, visiting regular customers and prospects. Hoping to increase his income, he will use this loan to buy tires of the following model numbers: 10-00-20,11-R- 22-5, and 9.

Guillermo José thanks the Kiva lenders for supporting low-income people living in poorer countries like Nicaragua so that they can have decent work.
