A loan of $775 helped to construct a corral.

Maritza's story

Maritza is 40 years old and lives in the city of Ica with her youngest daughter, who she loves and is her principal motivation in life. She is a kind, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who dedicates her efforts to improving her daughter's life, since Maritza is both father and mother to her. Unfortunately, due to a lack of financial resources and the need to work since she was very young, Maritza was not able to study nursing, but she would have liked very much to do so.

By her own initiative and with a lot of effort and dedication, Martiza works at her small business raising and selling pigs. Additionally, in the afternoon she works selling snacks on the outskirts of a cemetery in her city. She works every day for about ten hours and believes that her work is going well due to the kind treatment she provides to her customers.

Martiza is very thankful to the Kiva lenders since thanks to their help she will be able to construct a small corral for her pigs and also purchase a larger quantity of snacks to stock her store and serve more customers. Maritza will continue working and making an effort to achieve her dream that her daughter has a professional job.
