A loan of $350 helped to buy raw material to make aprons to sell.

Maria Ines's story

María is 62 years old and married. Her husband works in agriculture and as a watchman at a private company. She has two children, and she lives in the Intibucá municipality.

María has had her own business of sewing and making kitchen aprons or ‘gabachas’ [traditional Guatamalen aprons] to sell. She works by orders.

She has decided to request a second loan from ODEF for 6,500 lempiras. She will use the loan to buy raw material to make the aprons. She will buy things like fabric, thread, and lace, etc. Her goal is to support her family with the income.
