A loan of $600 helped purchase seeds, fertilizer and agrochemicals.

Luis's story

Don Luis is 45 years old. His family is made up of two members, a son and father. It is a modest, economically disadvantaged family. They live in the Callejas Baja community in the town of Mizque located in the Cochabamba department. He works in agriculture and livestock. She grows potatoes, beans and onions. He sells them in the same place where the merchants live in Mizque. Don Luis is a much respected person in his community due to his dedication to his work and because he is responsible for feeding and educating his family. They have a home with adobe walls, a thatched roof, and mud plaster. With this type of home, every year before the rainy season, the house must be plastered. Don Luis requested the current loan to purchase more seeds, fertilizers and agrochemicals in order to have a larger and better harvest. With this, he can improve his family’s lives.
