A loan of $975 helped to buy fabric, thread, needles among other sewing supplies.

Sandra's story

Sandra, 27, is single and has a two-year-old son. She works very hard every day because she wants to provide better quality of life for her son and to improve her family’s economy. She lives in her own house alongside her mother and siblings. Sandra works sewing and manufacturing clothes.

She’s been in this line of work for a short time and she’s very creative. However, she’s aware that she’s barely starting out in this phase and she wants to equip her sewing workshop with everything necessary to do a good job. Her work focuses on making costumes based on cartoon characters, traditional costumes and party outfits. She does her work with help from her mother who taught her this occupation. She’s happy with her work because she earns income needed to cover family expenses. Also, contact with the public makes her feel very good. Now, she’s hoping her workshop will continue making progress for her family’s benefit.

On this occasion, she’s asking for a 2,500 sol loan to buy fabric, thread, needles, lace, trim, appliques and everything necessary to equip her workshop and to do her work well. Because of this, she thanks all those people who provide this financial support because it will help her increase her working capital and as a result she commits to make her installment payments punctually.
