Glorious is 35 years old and lives in the town of Kijura in the Hoima region of Uganda. She is married and has one child who is currently in school. For the past 3 years, Glorious has been working hard to manage her bookshop, which sells books and other stationaries .
To help expand her business, Glorious has requested a loan of 2000000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy a fridge and a camera that will be used for her side business, and will help Glorious to generate greater profits and improve on the family welfare . Glorious hopes that in the future she will be able to business expansion.
Glorious is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Glorious who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
