Margret is a married woman with five children. She sells greens and a variety of vegetables from a small stall in the central market in Tiribe. She has a variety of customers, and her work day starts at 5:30 AM. She finishes work at 8:30 PM. She works hard every day so that she can have a better future. Margret wants to have more customers from Mombasa, but she needs a little money to buy vegetables and grocery items so she can sell them from her small stall so that she can have better earnings. This is what she most needs in order to improve the living conditions for her and her children.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
