A loan of $800 helped to buy iron sheets, welding roads and iron bars.

Youssouf's story

Born around 1981 in Kai, Youssouf is married and the father of four. He lives with his family in the town of Loulouni, a subprefecture in the Sikasso region.
Youssouf has been doing metal work for about six years: welding and manufacturing of rubber doors, windows, and chairs for sale. He enjoys a good business reputation and receives many orders, but his resources do not allow him to meet demand. This is why he decided to collaborated with Soro Yiriwaso. He is on his fourth loan, having duly repaid the prior loans.

He plans to use his loan to buy iron sheets, welding roads and iron bars. These materials are needed to manufacture rubber doors, windows and chairs for sale. He plans to earn an average monthly revenue of 100,000 West African francs, which will be used to improve his workshop and his family’s life conditions and to pay off the interest on his loan, with the rest reinvested in his business.
