A loan of $500 helped to buy sugar, baking flour, frying oil, cereals, etc.

Mwanakombo's story

Mwanakombo is a resident of Mariakani, Kenya. She is a married mother of two school-going children. Mwanakombo runs a food cafe that has been in operation for five years. The family also earns some income from the spouse’s formal employment.

Mwanakombo was introduced to Milango by her friends, and she is asking for a loan of 41,850 Kenya Shillings to buy sugar, baking flour, frying oil, cereals, etc.

Despite the high price fluctuations, Mwanakombo believes she can save the extra income for the education of her children, provide a means of income for future and current employees, and also use a part of the money to open a larger cafe.
