An is 33-years-old. She is single and resides with her brother and sister in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She has been working in a garment factory for more than ten years, earning approximately $4 daily. Her brother is employed at a rice mill. He earns about $3 daily. Her sister is also employed in garment factory and earns about $4 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, An took out a loan of $1300 to purchase a motorbike for her brother to run a taxi service. This purchase will help him generate additional income for the family. In the future, she would like to run an additional business and rebuild her house to make it much stronger to provide better living conditions for her family.
