In his free time he likes to play soccer with his friends and on occasion cook a delicious Ají de Gallina, or garlic chicken, which he shares with his family.

With much hard work and dedication, and thanks to the support of his mother, for the past year Raúl has worked as a field hand in an agricultural cooperative in his city. He works everyday for approximately 10 hours. He feels happy in this work and believes that things are going well because of his responsibility and because of the kind way in which he treats others.

Raúl is very thankful for the Kiva lenders, since thanks to the help offered he will be able to purchase construction materials, which will help him to rebuild the roof of his house. Currently the roof is made of cane and plastic, and as the winter approaches he needs to improve it in order to offer better security and well-being for his family. In this way he will continue working and pushing himself in order to achieve his great dream of becoming a professional and little by little to get ahead.
