A loan of $400 helped to pay workers and to buy fertilizer.

Migna's story

Migna, 35, is married to Vladimir and together they have two children, Yoser, 14, and John, 8. They live together in a house built of high-quality materials that's the fruit of their effort and dedication. In the beginning, as a housewife, she decided to support her husband in various activities related to the production of cacao and organic coffee. In time this became the main support of their family economy.

Very early every morning she goes to her plots of land where she does various tasks with her husband such as weeding, pruning, and fertilizing the crops with the goal of harvesting a high-quality crop that will allow her to sell her products for a good price.

It's the middle of the growing season and she wants to have support capital to continue with the pruning and other tasks for her crops. Her long-term goal
is to buy a cargo motorcycle with which she hopes to reduce transportation costs for her crops from her land to the distribution centers in her town.

Currently she needs to have 1,000 nuevos soles [PEN] to hire workers to continue pruning her farm and to buy sacks of organic fertilizer to optimize her production.
