A loan of $350 helped purchase bedding and other household items.

Deus Anderson's story

Deus is 26 years old and has been selling merchandise in different towns in the department of Atlántico for 7 years. He developed his love for business working alongside his father. Little by little Deus attracted customers from different towns near his home and has positioned himself well. Deus sells products such as curtains, sheets, quilts, punch bowls, hoses and pillows on long term credit. He sells door to door everyday from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 at night. His goal is to achieve more liquidity and expand to other towns to attract more customers. He is already studying his market potential in the towns he will venture into. He is currently applying for a Kiva loan, his first through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. He will use the loan to purchase bedding and other household items in larger quantities than he normally does so he can get discounts and generate more profit which will make him more competitive and make the investment of his Kiva loan a success.
