A loan of $1,450 helped to buy seeds, fertilizers and agrochemicals.

Carlos's story

Mr. Carlos, who is 38 years old, lives together with his parents. His is a humble family with scarce economic resources. They live in the community of Kurumayu, in the municipality of Mizque, in the region of Cochabamba. He works in agriculture and livestock, and grows onions, beans and potatoes. He sells them to the businesses within the Mizque population.

Mr. Carlos is a well-respected person in his community, because he is so dedicated to his work and because he is responsible for feeding and educating his family. They have a home with adobe walls, a hollow-reed roof, and a dirt floor. This type of housing must be readied every year for the rainy season.

Mr. Carlos is asking for this particular loan in order to buy seeds, fertilizers and other agrochemicals, as well as to improve the condition of his family's home.
