A loan of $600 helped to buy earrings, necklaces, and other items.

Adzowagan's story

Adzowagan lives in Lomé with her husband and their two children, age 15 and 6. Both go to school. In order to help her husband with the household expenses, she started selling earrings and necklaces as a traveling saleswoman.

She gets her supplies in Lomé and in Cotonou, Benin. Thanks to the quality of her products, she has several customers in her city, whom she cannot satisfy anymore. She's therefore seeking a first loan from Kiva's parter, WAGES, in order to resupply.

Her future prospects include expanding her business and ensuring her children's future. She's 41 years old, and has been a seller for seven years.
