A loan of $600 helped to buy clothing for children and adults.

Katty's story

Katty is 37 years old. She is married to José, with whom she has two children, aged 10 and 07. She lives with her family in a home they own. Katty's work consists of selling clothing, beauty products and more. To do this, she goes to the homes of friends, neighbors and relatives. She has been doing this work for two years and she works alone. She likes her work because it allows her to contribute to her family's budget. She wants to be able to keep working and start expanding her business, selling children's shoes as well. At the moment she is concentrating on maintaining herself in this activity and in the future expanding the business. This will be her second Kiva loan and she hopes to get support to keep doing her job and achieve her goals. She is also committed to making her payments on time. With the amount of 1500 soles that she has asked for, she will buy merchandise such as children's and adult's clothing and book store products, so she can keep selling to her customers.
