A loan of $2,100 helped a member to buy more medical drugs to sell to customers.

Mo Mary Group's story

The group is made up of four members who have been accessing loans from ID-Ghana since 2011. They are Mary, Edith, Comfort, and Rosemary. Edith and Comfort sell bags, Rosemary sells cooking utensils, and Mary sells drugs. They all reside at the Banana Inn in the Dansoman community. ID Ghana has been of great service to them since they have been able to grow their small businesses through the credit scheme. Mary is a 41-year-old chemical drug seller. She has 12 years of experience. She works six days-a-week (from Monday to Saturday). She is constantly working to improve her business capital. This is her fifth loan with ID-Ghana; she is requesting an amount of GHS 2,000 to buy more goods to sell to her customers in the community. The entire group needs a total amount of GHS 4,000 for business expansion and meeting their customers’ demands.
