A loan of $200 helped to buy toiletries and fizzy drinks.

Isidora's story

Isidora is a hard-working mother and widow, who is feels satisfied to have given her three children a good education. She lives in a house build of wood and cement which she built with the fruit of her efforts. Many members of her family made a living in agriculture, producing organic cocoa and coffee. However, thanks to coming into a small amount of money she decided to change direction and begin her own grocery store business.

She has had this business for four years, and has today managed to make it successful thanks to her hard work. She really enjoys her work, since it has helped to to become well-known and make many friends.

Of the products she offers, fizzy drinks and toiletries are the best-selling, which is why she wants working capital to restock her store with goods. Her long-term goal is to finish building the second floor of her home, as she wants to rent rooms to professionals who come to work in the area. She hopes that this will provide her with a fixed income in her old age.

With the 500 new soles she will restock her business, buying fizzy drinks, soap, and other best-selling products in her store.
