A loan of $350 helped to buy construction materials (cement and corrugated metal sheets) to replace the old roof that is already degraded.

Carolina's story

A native of the Chibuto, Carolina is a separated mother of two children. In addition to her two children, she also provides food, healthcare and education to sustain a nephew and a granddaughter. She is a resident of Boane, Mozambique. She works as a packer in the bananalands and with this loan she plans to buy construction materials (cement and corrugated metal sheets) to replace their home's old roof that is already degraded. In the future, she aims to improve their housing conditions and involve her children in money earning programs as a way to boost the family income. Her biggest challenge is to get financial support to continue to educate her children with dignity and invest in their work.
