A loan of $400 helped to purchase wholesale vegetables and fish.

Maria Imelda's story

María lives with her small family in their own home. She has made a living selling vegetables, such as tomatoes, onions and chilli peppers, and fish for a number of years, and this has given her a lot of experience in sales and allowed her to make good profits. She sells as a street vendor in different areas of her town offering accessible prices and, above all, excellent service. María is an enterprising woman with a strong desire to make headway, and she is always looking for new opportunities to reach the success she so craves. Like any good merchant, she wants to increase her business by making a new investment, but to do that she needs capital, which is why she is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Apoyo Integral to purchase wholesale vegetables, fish and other items. María has good payment references and is very responsible. She is certain she will be able to pay off the loan and at the same time give her family a better quality of life.
