She lives with her husband and their children, and is a very hard-working mother who looks after both home and shop, the latter being located at her house. In this small shop she sells notebooks, books, glue, pencils, geometry games, and other such supplies. Her greater wish is to buy more products in order to have a wider array to sell at her shop and to have enough stock to last her the whole year and meet customer demand. This is why she asks field partner Integral for a loan, in order to buy the supplies needed and improve her business and her sales.

Vive junto a su esposo e hijos, siendo una madre muy trabajadora que se dedica a su hogar y a su negocio que está ubicado en su casa de habitación. Tiene una pequeña librería en la que comercializa: cuadernos, libros, pegamentos, lápices, juegos de geometría y otros más, el mayor deseo de ella es poder invertir en más productos de librería para mejorar las condiciones de su negocio y contar con inventario para todo el año y así atender a sus clientes. Es por esta razón que solicita un préstamo a INTEGRAL, y con mucha ilusión comprar todo lo necesario para su negocio y mejorar sus ventas.

This loan is part of a pilot project Apoyo Integral is launching in conjunction with several local NGOs to support at-risk youth and their families with funding from Kiva. This loan product is tailored to young people who find themselves in a vulnerable situation due to the lack of access to eduation and a decent job. Moreover they are in high-risk situations because they are located in areas affected by extreme violence. Loans are combined with vocational, technical, and financial training to help these young people develop business ideas that will help them generate income, reintegrate into society, and support their dreams of being productive and contributing members of society.   

Due to potential safety risks facing these youth, some of the loans are being disbursed to their parents in order to protect their identities. For the same reason, the faces of some Apoyo Integral borrowers may be blurred in photos. Apoyo Integral appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to provide much-needed support to at-risk Salvadoran youth.
