Nuevo Amanecer Group's story

The Nuevo Amanecer (New Dawn) communal bank is located in the Calle Poi village in the city of Paraguarí. This group is comprised of 17 women who engage in different business activities in order to be able to have the means to help their families. However, they also engage in activities together in order to be able to have savings that will help them in cases of necessity.

Obdulia is part of the group. She describes herself as a person with a great desire to get ahead and to work. She says that her goal is to continue growing in what she does in order to continue helping her family. Her work is sewing because she is a dressmaker. She always has a lot of work, and this helps her to continue on and to have the means to help her family.

She is requesting this loan in order to be able to buy fabric, thread, elastic, zippers, and the rest. She will do this in order to be able to continue with her dressmaking and to complete her customers’ orders.
