A loan of $600 helped to buy seeds, manure, and to rent the land.

Mariano De Jesus's story

Mariano, age 44, devotes himself to growing basic grains and livestock. He is married and has two children, ages seven and five. The children go to school.

Mariano is devoted to livestock and basic grains because he learned this from his parents. He does the plowing work with oxen on his own land and for other individuals.

He is requesting a loan in order to buy seeds, to pay for renting the land, and to buy manure. This will help him to cultivate two ‘manzanas’ [Central American unit of land measurement]. He will then have the possibility of a good production and good income from the sale.

His aspiration is to strengthen the business and to give his family a better quality of life.
