Chinyavu is a 35-year-old person from Samburu, Kenya. She lives in her own house with her children, aged 17, 15 and 13. All her children are in school; therefore, her monthly major expenditure is school fees.
She owns a charcoal stall, a business she has been doing for more than three years. She has requested a loan amounting to 50,000 Kenyan shillings to buy sacks of charcoal. She is grateful for the opportunity.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
