Segundo is a member of the Communal Bank “Arrayapamba”, which consists of 12 members who are from the same community. They live 25 minutes away from the office of Cooperativa San Jose. The members engage in business activities such as farming, raising animals, and trade.
Segundo Victor is a farmer who grows beans and blackberries. He also raises and fattens pigs and cattle that he will eventually sell. Segundo is requesting a loan in order to buy insecticides, liquid weed killer, Ranger (a brand of pesticide), herbicides, and urea. With the help of this loan, he will be able to buy seeds that he lacks for farming. His purchases are conducted in the city of Chillanes. His dream is to achieve good production and improve his financial situation. The challenges he faces include dealing with pests that could ruin his crops.
In his free time, Segundo Victor enjoys playing sports and going out for walks.
